Year 4 - English & Verbal Reasoning Foundations

Module 2 introduces your child to the 8 main parts of speech used to enhance writing: nouns, verbs,

adjectives, adverbs, pronouns, prepositions, conjunctions and determiners. Your child will learn to classify

words by function, using expanded noun phrases, identifying action and state verbs, and using prepositions to show time, place or direction. Alongside this, we introduce Verbal Reasoning, a key component of the 11+

exam, building vocabulary and laying the foundations for the reasoning skills your child will develop

throughout the course.

Each module runs for 8 weeks, with 7 engaging teaching lessons followed by a revision and assessment

lesson in week 8, so you can track your child's progress as they go.

Places are limited to 10 students per class to ensure every child gets the attention they deserve.
